The big 25 part II

urlNormally, I have a glorious morning after hangover when I celebrate my birthday with friends. Not yesterday, because I knew there would be a lot more family and friends coming over on Saturday. So to enjoy that day, I thought it would be best to wake up sober and without having to cope with a hangover. Therefore I hold my liquor a little. After all, I don’t need to be drunk to have a good time. So I was up for another day. Continue reading

The big 25 part I

BFF-Beer-Friends-ForeverReaching the age of 21 actually means you have grown an adult and responsible for everything you do. It’s often an age that is celebrated with big parties, but to me, reaching the age of 25 feels really like growing up. Yes, this weekend I reach my mid-twenties and somehow I feel like expectations shifted. Then again, that will be food for another blog. Right now I just like to share some stories and thoughts of my birthday weekend! Continue reading

A night to remember

In my first blog about Friday I already mentioned the fact there was more to come. To be honest, it is so much more that it deserved it’s very oen blog. Without spoiling anything, I can tell you all that it became a night to remember. For a very long time. Not something I anticipated whilst driving home after a lovely afternoon with a good friend. Then again, the good things come when you least expect them. Continue reading

Again I started off my Saturday really slow. It must almost sound like a habit, but it really isn’t. Today, staying longer in bed really served a purpose. I slept almost through the morning, just to have breakfast an hour before lunch. Only to lay down on the couch and watch football through the afternoon. All in preparation for what the Saturday night was about to bring to me. Not one, but two great events. Continue reading

Friday = Birthday time

I love having a big family and all. Even more when I was a kid, because it always got me lots of presents for my birthday and such. Now my brother and I are growing older, it’s not that fun anymore. It often means that we have to celebrate our birthday two or three times at least. One time for the family, one time for friends of the family and lastly for our own friends. Last Friday the last group came over to celebrate. Could be fun, right? Continue reading

Dinner party Saturday

Yesterday I told you all about the Friday after the Coldplay concert. Well, thanks to that busy day my body hurt like it had been hit by a truck. Honestly, when I woke up this morning, my legs felt so sore and all. Then again, it only means that I am well alive and that I gave all I had during the training session on Friday, right? Besides, there wasn’t much room to feel sorry for myself, because Saturday was busy as well.

Birthday weekend

Last weekend mostly consisted of my family celebrating both my father’s and my brother’s birthday. This meant eating lots of cakes, having family over having drinks and listen to the same old stories we tell at every birthday. You know, just the things we all like have to do on an average birthday, right? Though personally, having to spend the whole weekend entertaining family and eating lots of unhealthy food is not really my cup of tea. I do love birthday parties and I sure love to attend them. Just not when I am obligated to stay throughout two days and entertain the whole crowd. Including serving drinks, cake and other foods. Continue reading
