The big 25 part II

urlNormally, I have a glorious morning after hangover when I celebrate my birthday with friends. Not yesterday, because I knew there would be a lot more family and friends coming over on Saturday. So to enjoy that day, I thought it would be best to wake up sober and without having to cope with a hangover. Therefore I hold my liquor a little. After all, I don’t need to be drunk to have a good time. So I was up for another day. Continue reading

Birthday mom part II

11949867001754692741balloons_01.svg.medAs I mentioned in Wednesday’s blog about my mother’s birthday, the other half of the family would come today. Friday. This time it was my father’s family’s turn to show up at our doorstep. It was almost four months ago since I saw them last time and some I had not seen for at least a year. Somehow they don’t have a real strong bond with my parents, my brother or I. Still, it was nice to see them again anyway. Continue reading

A night to remember

In my first blog about Friday I already mentioned the fact there was more to come. To be honest, it is so much more that it deserved it’s very oen blog. Without spoiling anything, I can tell you all that it became a night to remember. For a very long time. Not something I anticipated whilst driving home after a lovely afternoon with a good friend. Old friend, new city

Yesterday I went to Harlem to meet up with a good friend who has just moved places. Just before her holiday she moved from our hometown to the city of Haarlem. Stupid cold

Those who read my blog updates regularly, will have found out that I am kind a struggling with my health. My throat has been sore for the past two weeks and since this week I developed a nasty cough as well. It seems like I have caught a cold, but I refuse to give in to it. I just don’t want to lay down and pretend to be sick. It’s not as bad as all that, though it is messing with my day to daily stuff right now. Especially, last night. Continue reading

Three in a row

After two great nights out I found it was time to catch up with some of the sleep I had lost over the past two days. Moreover as I knew today would bring me a birthday party a friend of mine would throw and another night of clubbing. Therefore I refused to get out of my bed until late in the morning. I needed it, because I didn’t wake up until I heard movement somewhere in the house, so than I found it time to get out of bed. Continue reading

Swept of my feet

After I met up with an old friend on Thursday, I had to get back to work on Friday. Now I have never been good at getting up early, especially not after a short night of sleep. With his upcoming cold, it was even harder, because I didn’t feel all that well. Still, I pulled myself out of bed and got over to the office anyway. As I am really not the type to give in to a small cold in the first place. Not to mention some exciting stuff was still to come. Continue reading
