The big 25 part II

urlNormally, I have a glorious morning after hangover when I celebrate my birthday with friends. Not yesterday, because I knew there would be a lot more family and friends coming over on Saturday. So to enjoy that day, I thought it would be best to wake up sober and without having to cope with a hangover. Therefore I hold my liquor a little. After all, I don’t need to be drunk to have a good time. So I was up for another day. Continue reading

The big 25 part I

BFF-Beer-Friends-ForeverReaching the age of 21 actually means you have grown an adult and responsible for everything you do. It’s often an age that is celebrated with big parties, but to me, reaching the age of 25 feels really like growing up. Yes, this weekend I reach my mid-twenties and somehow I feel like expectations shifted. Then again, that will be food for another blog. Right now I just like to share some stories and thoughts of my birthday weekend! Continue reading

Birthday mom

animaatjes-happy_birthday-78959A couple of days ago I wrote about the horror I had to put myself true in order to get my mother a birthday present. Today finally was the day to present her with the little gifts we bought for her. Always a nerve wrecking moment, because I didn’t really stick with just the wish list she presented to us. So I was really curious to find out whether or not she would like the present that did not come of her initial list. Surprise mom! Continue reading

A night to remember

In my first blog about Friday I already mentioned the fact there was more to come. To be honest, it is so much more that it deserved it’s very oen blog. Without spoiling anything, I can tell you all that it became a night to remember. For a very long time. Not something I anticipated whilst driving home after a lovely afternoon with a good friend. Then again, the good things come when you least expect them. Continue reading

A lovely Amsterdam day

Yesterday I promised two lovely genuine friends to meet them in Amsterdam. To make sure I would make up well on time, I set the alarm clock. Unfortunately, I didn’t do it right. Instead of the alarm going off at half past ten, my alarm sounded five minutes to eight. This is the time I have to get up in order to be one time for work. Then I set the right alarm, slept for a few more hours and then got up and got ready to go. Continue reading

A weak Sunday

Yesterday’s blog showed how good of a night I had with my friends. It was truly one of the better nights we had as a group for quite some time. So I guess that’s something to cherish for now. Unfortunately, it came with a minor downside today. That crazy little thing I call a hangover. Not that much of a problem, because I am used to dealing with that part. Sadly, I had to play football today. Go figure how good it went. Continue reading

Oktoberfest

Again I started off my Saturday really slow. It must almost sound like a habit, but it really isn’t. Today, staying longer in bed really served a purpose. I slept almost through the morning, just to have breakfast an hour before lunch. Only to lay down on the couch and watch football through the afternoon. All in preparation for what the Saturday night was about to bring to me. Not one, but two great events. Continue reading
